Terms
Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use Loftfile. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Loftfile.
Effective date: October 31, 2026
The service
Loftfile is operated by Antonio Jerome Pascual, an individual (“we”, “us” or “our”). Loftfile is a free website that converts and organizes files inside your browser. Files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us. There are no accounts. Features may change, be added or be removed at any time.
Your files and your rights
You are responsible for the files you add and for the results you create. You confirm that you own the files or have the right to use, convert and modify them, including any password-protected PDFs you unlock. Loftfile does not receive or keep copies of your files, so please keep your own backups of anything important.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Loftfile to break any law or to infringe anyone else’s rights, including copyright and privacy rights;
- unlock or modify documents you are not authorized to access or change;
- interfere with, overload or attempt to disrupt the site or its hosting, including by automated means that place unreasonable load on it;
- attempt to tamper with ads, or generate fake ad impressions or clicks, once ads are introduced.
Open-source software
Loftfile is built with open-source software and fonts, each covered by its own license. See the Licenses page for details. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licenses.
Advertising
Loftfile may show ads to support the free service. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or for the products and websites they link to. How advertising data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
No warranty
Loftfile is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the site will be available or error-free, or that every file will convert correctly. Check your results before relying on them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits or business, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to Loftfile is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid us, if any, except where the law does not allow such a limit.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. Continuing to use Loftfile after an update means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
